Dear friends of DHR,
This month, young people are mobilized for DHR! The month of October ended with two important signatures that reinforced the visibility of the Declaration in the student community. A new city, as well as the international network of GESICA lawyers, are also supporting DHR.
A new city signs the Declaration!
Mrs Daumin, Mayor of the Municipality of Chevilly-Larue, supports the Universal Declaration of Humankind Rights by signing the text of the Declaration on behalf of her municipality.
GESICA, first international network of French-speaking lawyers, also signed the Universal Declaration of Humankind Rights. This network includes nearly 200 firms and more than 2,000 lawyers in Paris, French regions and internationally.
Young people support the Declaration!
The CliMates association has adopted the Declaration! As an international association of young people mobilized on climate issues, this NGO aims to address the challenge of climate change by developing and encouraging the creation of ideas, training young people to become actors of change and influencing decision-makers.
REFEDD, the French Students’ Network for Sustainable Development, which brings together more than a hundred student associations on environmental issues, also signed the Universal Declaration of Humankind Rights. The REFEDD aims to ensure that 100% of students are engaged and sensitized and that 100% of French university campuses are sustainable. The REFEDD aims to integrate sustainable development into training and make students fully-fledged actors in sustainable development governance.
With the help of our ambassador Martial Breton, these two associations are joining us as signatories of the DHR, and thus improving our visibility among young people.
