Founded in January 2016 by Corinne Lepage, president, environmental lawyer and former Minister of the Environment; Nicolas Imbert, treasurer, executive director of Green Cross France and Territories and Jean-Louis Servan-Schreiber, secretary, journalist, essayist and humanist, the Association of Friends of the Universal Declaration of Humankind Rights (DHR) aims to promote and support the Humankind Rights Defender. Its ultimate objective is to advocate for the adoption of this Declaration by the United Nations General Assembly.
Your support enables us to advance our project and its adoption around the world through communications campaigns, conferences and advocacy publications on the environment, humanity and commons.
The Universal Declaration of the Rights of Humankind could appear as a beautiful utopia: that of uniting men and women but also entities of good will for their common future by accepting the definition of rights but above all of duties incumbent on present generations in relation to past generations and above all future generations. It is becoming a reality. Cities, regions, supranational organizations have subscribed to the HRDu like many bars, NGOs. and also companies and individuals. The State-led movement launched by the Comoros at the State level is expanding and will only come to a halt once the United Nations organization has endorsed the declaration, thus allowing a text to be signed by States, public and private entities and individuals for the first time in history.
